Articles / CSS Trick: Links Outline

Get rid of links outline when clicking

You might have noticed a dotted outline that appears the moment you click on a link and for as long you hold that click until you release and the page changes. The outline appears in FireFox and Internet Explorer (not in Opera).

If you find it annoying like I do, you can now get rid of it using a simple one line of code in your CSS file. I include the code for you.

It will make the annoying dotted outline go away.

Code:
a:focus {outline:none}
